Halka Fulka

Hidden in the lanes of Connaught Place, this fascinating looking shop attracted my attention one day when I was in Cp with my friends. We saw this shop and went to see what to do they serve.

The shop is very interesting looking, the front of the shop is an auto rickshaw and serves Kathi Rolls. They have limited items on their menu but the kathi rolls are must try. My personal favorite is Chicken Tandoori Roll (80 rupees). Soft pieces of tandoori chicken along with mayonnaise, mint chutney and onions is wrapped in the perfectly crisp paratha, melts in your mouth and with the first bite your taste buds are on a roll.

A must try for Kathi Roll lovers.

“The Unheard Voice” Trailer

By bringing together a differently abled team, that too in the domain of service proves how little do we need as human beings to communicate, interact and form bonds.

Café echoes with its noble idea, truly offers the best ‘food for thought’, and the warmth with which the student community has accepted the café, only echoes of the sensitive side of people which this café successfully managed to rouse.

This is the trailer of my upcoming short film, Do like and share 🙂

tandoori momos

Satya Nikaten is a hub of pocket friendly cafes for DU Students. One of the most popular gem of satya niketan is Chowringhee. Most popular for their kathi roll and tandoori momos. This place is filled with students all the time.

We called for the two most popular items on their manu Chicken Tandoori moms and Chicken Roll. Tandoori momos were big in size with ample amount of filling served with mint and spicy chutney topped with mayonnaise. The momos looked so tempting that we just hogged them as soon as they came. Perfect balance of flavours, generous filling and so filling. These tandoori momos is a must try.

Coming to kathi roll, chunks of spicy chicken with onion and chutneys rolled in a crisp paratha says it all. It was melting in the mouth and delicious. The place also has a restaurant in the side with same menu but proper dining. The ambience is very nice and prices are little more in seating than take away.

Sita Ram Diwan Chand

Chole bhature 2

Chole Bhature! The name says it all. I am sure your mouth is drooling with water, I know mine is. Whenever we think of chole bhature we imagine a person standing and frying those yummy bhaturas but Sita Ram Diwan Chand did something different and yet are so popular.

Their chole bhature are so popular that you find a long queue in the morning and orders being packed one after the other. Started with a small shop their business kept increasing and Sita Ram Diwan Chand became so popular.

Their idea of serving chole bhature is very unique. They fry the bhaturas in advance and warm them on the tawa when people place and order. This does 2 things one the bhature remains soft for a long a time, also the excess oil is soaked. Coming to the taste, this one of the best chole bhature I have had. Less oily, perfect amount of spice, not at all heavy for your stomach. They put mint chutney on the channa’s to enhance the taste, and serves onion and mirchi ka achaar along, without which chole bhature are incomplete.

Looking for a chatpata breakfast? Sita Ram Diwan Chand is the place.
